Privacy Policy

LZ Financial is responsible for personal information under its control. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, who may process it for us, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

• Business contact information, such as your name, work email, company, and store URL.
• Assessment and onboarding information about your accounting platform, payment systems, transaction volume, timing, pain points, and desired outcomes.
• Payment and billing details handled by Stripe. LZ Financial does not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
• Messages, support requests, meeting details, and records needed to provide the service.
• Basic technical and security logs generated when you use our website or secure onboarding flow.

Do not send passwords, API secrets, banking credentials, card details, or personal information that is not needed for the service.

Why we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, confirm payment, prepare and deliver the bookkeeping setup, communicate about access and go-live, provide support, secure and troubleshoot our systems, maintain business and tax records, and comply with law. We use business contact information for relevant outreach where permitted and honour unsubscribe requests.

Consent and limiting collection

We identify the purpose for collection at or before collection and limit collection to information reasonably needed for that purpose. You may withdraw consent for optional uses by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawing information needed to perform the service may prevent us from completing it.

Service providers and transfers

We use service providers that may process information for us, including Cloudflare for hosting and security, Stripe for payments, Resend and Google Workspace for email, Calendly for booking, and bookkeeping or accounting platforms authorized by the client. Information may be processed outside Alberta or Canada and may be accessible to authorities under the laws of those locations. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and safeguards

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the service, security, dispute resolution, and legal, accounting, or tax obligations. We use access controls, encrypted connections, secret management, payment-verified onboarding links, and service providers appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Access, correction, and complaints

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required by law.

Website and third-party services

Our site includes a Calendly booking widget and links to Stripe-hosted checkout. Those services may set cookies or collect information under their own privacy policies. We do not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural advertising on this site.
