Service Terms
Effective August 4, 2026
These terms apply to LZ Financial's customized AI-assisted bookkeeping workflow setup and related support. A written proposal, invoice, or statement of work may add project-specific terms; if there is a conflict, the project-specific terms control.
Service
The setup is a customized implementation intended to connect agreed sales, payment, and accounting systems; create categorization and reconciliation rules; establish an exception-review process; and validate an opening period. Exact deliverables, access requirements, and timing are confirmed with the client before go-live.
Client responsibilities
The client must provide accurate information, timely access, appropriate authorization to connect or share business data, and a knowledgeable contact for review. The client remains responsible for reviewing outputs, maintaining source records, approving the go-live plan, and making business, accounting, and tax decisions. Credentials should be shared only through an approved secure method and never through the onboarding form or ordinary email.
Fees and taxes
The standard setup fee is CAD $2,500 plus applicable tax unless a written quote says otherwise. Payment is due through Stripe before onboarding begins. Optional support is CAD $30 per hour with a two-hour minimum per support job, billed only when requested or approved. Third-party subscriptions or platform fees are not included unless expressly stated.
Electronic communications
Service communications, approvals, invoices, notices, policy updates, and deliverables may be provided electronically by email or another agreed digital channel. LZ Financial does not ordinarily send paper mail unless required by law or expressly agreed.
Changes and delays
Work outside the agreed scope requires the client's approval and may change timing or fees. Timelines depend on timely access, complete information, and third-party platform availability. LZ Financial is not responsible for delays caused by the client or a third-party service.
Third-party platforms
The service may rely on platforms such as Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Amazon, Square, QuickBooks, Xero, or other providers. Their availability, terms, APIs, and data are outside LZ Financial's control. The client is responsible for maintaining required accounts and licences.
Confidentiality and privacy
Each party will use the other party's confidential information only for the service and protect it with reasonable care. Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
No accounting, tax, or legal advice
LZ Financial provides implementation and workflow services, not an audit, assurance engagement, or legal or tax opinion. The client should have its accountant or other professional adviser review material accounting and tax treatment.
Warranty and liability
LZ Financial will perform the service with reasonable care. Except where law does not permit it, the service is otherwise provided without implied warranties. Neither party is liable for indirect, special, or consequential loss. LZ Financial's aggregate liability arising from the setup is limited to fees paid for the affected service, except for fraud, wilful misconduct, confidentiality or privacy breaches, or liability that cannot legally be limited.
Cancellation, law, and contact
Cancellations and refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy. These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada. Questions can be sent to info@lzfinancial.ca.
